What we collect

When you register an entry, we collect your name, mobile number, date of birth, the showroom you visited, your write-up, the link to your Instagram post, a screenshot of that post, and your original photograph. We also record a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string to detect abuse. We do not store your one-time password.

Why we collect it

We use this information to run and judge the contest: to confirm your eligibility, to verify your mobile number, to show your photograph and write-up to the judging panels, and to contact you if you are shortlisted or selected. Your photographs carry location and device data in their metadata; we strip that metadata on upload so it never reaches the panels or an export.

Who sees it

Your entry is seen by the judging panels at Jos Alukkas and Vanitha and by the people who administer the contest. We do not sell your data to any third party. Instagram is a separate platform we do not control; your post is governed by your own Instagram privacy settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your entry for the duration of the campaign and for a reasonable period afterwards, then remove it. If your entry is selected, the content covered by the licence in the Terms may be kept and used as described there.
